Mr Taoufiq Cherkaoui
Lead Practitioner of Arabic and French and Assessment for Learning
Consultant and Bilingual Trainer for the University of Cambridge CIE
Principal Examiner Edexcel

My greatest passion is Arabic; Arabic is a language that should be accessible to all students and should not be limited to heritage students.  It is a wonderful language, it offers an ocean of possibilities and opportunities to students.

My name is Taoufiq Cherkaoui and I am a Lead Practitioner of Arabic and French and assessment for learning.
I am interested in launching a National Arabic project to help schools wishing to introduce Arabic to their curriculum and help existing schools offering Arabic with resources, training, schemes of work and a forum for discussion.
I have created this website especially for Arabic teachers. Here you will find teaching resources in all four skills, and schemes of work for KS2 students to KS5 students. There are also very useful categories relating to Arabic language, culture, society, politics and history. The website is always a work in progress, so please checking for updated information, and if there is something you'd like to see that isn't here, don't hesitate to let me know!

Enjoy the website and thank you for visiting
